What started as a sketch became one of Airbnb's most celebrated "OMG Design Contest" winners.
Owners, Pam and Bruce trained in superadobe — a dome-building technique developed by architect Nader Khalili using coiled earth — at Cal-Earth Institute in California, then brought the method north to the Michigan pines. There is nothing else like it.
